Coach Mike Mathews has been coaching and teaching baseball and softball for over 20 years. Currently he is the 14U Gold Head Coach & Recruiting Coordinator for the Iowa Blitz/Iowa Gold Fastpitch programs here in Central Iowa where his primary focus is hitting development. Coach Mike has taught several players that have gone on to play at all levels from NAIA to NCAA Division 1. His teaching approach involves explaining the science of hitting as well as the mental approach needed to be successful. "Have A Plan"!
